The Stern Cardiovascular staff offers programs such as Lipid, Coumadin, and Device clinics to help our patients better understand and manage their cardiac health. Additionally, patients are encouraged to utilize Stern Cardiovascular for flu shots and immunizations, available without an appointment.
Device Clinic
The Device Clinic is staffed with registered nurses who evaluate and manage the care of patients following implantation of cardiac pacemakers and implantable defibrillators. Remote home monitoring systems allow us to monitor your device from the comfort of your home. We can receive and evaluate information from your device, check functionality and battery life, and make adjustments recommended by our electrophysiologists. Certain devices allow us to monitor vital signs and pressure measurements within your cardiovascular system that help us identify a problem before it becomes serious. Please ask our device clinic nurses about our special monitoring programs. Through this clinic, we also offer onsite arrhythmia monitoring services by appointment.
